At last I can say that article marketing has succeeded after having my articles reviewed at least 5 times each. I have managed to publishing about 6 articles.   

What was amazing about the whole process was the training I received.  Each time I was told where I was going wrong and how to correct it.  I also received two signup almost immediately which shocked me because I did not realise how important this kind of marketing is. 

First of all it’s free there are many ezines out there that are looking for articles and want to publish them. I also read that this is a very effictive way of marketing but had no idea how to go about doing this. 

I was introduced to a website that does it all for you including sending your article out to over 100 enzines so I joined to see if what they said they would do works and so far it seems to be very successful so if any of you are interested here’s the link.

I have been trying to do Article Marketing and get my articles accepted and its real hard work.  Everytime I correct it according to their instructions they send it back with even more corrections to be done. I never realised what was involved in this.

What’s amazing is that after doing this all week long I am now becoming very good at understanding how articles should be posted so that it will be accepted by ezine. 

I belong to Article Marketer and they go through every articles and then they send them on to hundreds of ezines.  They know what each ezines needs and that is why there keep correcting me including how to correct MS Word when it changes comma’s into gibberish, which ezines won’t accept.

So I apologise for not having time to write in my favorite and only blog.

Hi Everyone,

I have been listening again to lesson 4, List Building, by Alex Jeffreys and I thought to breakdown what he is teaching about getting traffic.

This is what I have understood, so if I am wrong please please please correct me as I am very new to blogging.

1. Our community is about 500 strong, so what Alex says is, go to each one’s blog and add your comment to their blog and they should then get back to you to add their comment and this is called a trackback. Or you can add their website to your blog with a blogroll or comments.

If I understand this correctly, the more trackbacks we get the higher our rank will get in Google etc.,

2. So the first thing we all must do is to go to Gary Parkes website, where he has almost everyone’s blog listed and put your comments on their websites and they should comment to yours.

3. Always add a relevant comments to the post, this is important. If you can be helpful then do so as this is the lifeline to successful blogging.

I am going through everyone’s blog slowly and posting coments on them.  Its slow going because they are really great and I keep reading them all.

I am learning so much from everyone so a really big thanks to you all, especially our advanced students like Dean Holland and Garry Parkes, who have given us so much information and help.

I am a bit disappointed that no one is connecting to me by return post and I am hoping that it is because of the holidays.

Dave Pumfrey asked me how I got the plugin for Bookmark and so I decided to share this with everyone.  This is what I wrote back to him.

I do not know if I should have done what I did but its done now.
 
I joined a program called Firepow, It is joined to wordpress and you can build the blog via Firepow. They have all the plugins that wordpress have and they have another 30 extra plugins no one else has.

I am just learning all about each of the features and as soon as I can I will be advertising my blog via Firepow, I will be adding articles and RSS all via Firepow.  

They claim that I will be getting so many backlinks that I will be set for life.  I am following their very good training videos and I will let you know if it works or not.

Addition to email:  I have found it so easy to build my blog and I am now learning how to get backlinks with articles, RSS, Yahoo and more. As soon as I am done I’ll keep you all informed if it works.

There is one problem at the moment, Firepow is built for 2.6 and when I asked them about this they said that they are working on updating to 2.7 and as soon as they are done I will be able to automatically update to 2.7

Well, Well, Well!  I am just patting myself on my back, it took me all day but I did it.

I followed Alex’s training exactly and suddenly when I went to my website I found it was up and running. All the parts worked, I am so elated I do not even know what to say.

Yes I do.  If I can do this so can you.  I am 65 and a Grandmother of 9 wonderful grandchildren, all you need is just a bit of patience and rest in between, that will do the trick.  I actually wrote down each step while I was watching the training videos.

I am very elated, its my first attempt at making a blog from the very beginning and its all thank to Alex Jeffreys.

He is an amazing teacher, mentor and coach, direct, simple and very much like us, he also struggled and is now my mentor. The first time I heard him speak I knew that he would be the one person who could get me over my fear and train me to just get started.

I have 10 videos that show you exactly how to buy and setup your website, domain, FTP, wordpress, use wordpress to make your blog and more.  I have had them a while now and thanks to Alex I was able to move forward and release me fear.
